Concord Housing Development Gets Highest Rating From U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

Concord Housing + Redevelopment is proud to announce that it has received the federal government’s highest rating through the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP). SEMAP enables the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to better manage the Section 8 tenant-based program. It measures performance of public housing agencies and helps HUD identify and target those that may need improvement.

Concord Housing+ Redevelopment Prepares To Unveil Thompson Square

When the curtain finally opens on Thompson Square, Concord Housing + Redevelopment will be able to provide much needed special needs housing in downtown Concord. The project, which includes the repurposing of the former CH+R offices and an aging auditorium, located on the ground level of the John F. Kennedy housing complex, was not without its challenges. Not only were three of the new apartments being created in a sunken theater, they were being constructed in a building with 82 occupied apartments—making the construction process all that much more difficult.

Concord, N.H. – (June 24, 2013) – Concord Housing + Redevelopment (CH+R) Executive Director John Hoyt is pleased to announce Jerry Madden has been appointed 2013-2014 Chairman of the Concord Housing + Redevelopment Board of Commissioners. Madden, most recently, served as the Board’s Vice Chairman. He is the Executive Director of The Friends Program, and former Concord Chief of Police.
