CH+R Receives Mainstream Cares Award


Concord Housing + Redevelopment (CH+R) announces that the agency is the recipient of federal funds through the Mainstream program. Ten vouchers totaling over $73,000 will be given out in the initial round of the endeavor. The Mainstream voucher program sets aside funds for eligible disabled families.

John Hoyt Named to Board of Trustees of National Housing Organization

Concord Housing + Redevelopment Executive Director to Represent the Granite State
John Hoyt, Executive Director of Concord Housing + Redevelopment (CH+R) has been named to the Board of Trustees of the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association (PHADA) out of Washington, DC.  Hoyt will serve a three year term on the board. In his role, Hoyt will represent the national interests of the PHADA’s members – which include close to 2,000 member housing agencies representing 1.9 million low-income housing units across the United States.

CH+R receives funding for Foster Youth to Independence program

Concord Housing + Redevelopment (CH+R) has secured federal funds for the new Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) initiative.  CH+R received $7,080 for the program that will assist young adults who are transitioning out of foster care.The funds were released by the United States Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regional administrator so that CH+R can get working on the new program.  New Hampshire is the first state in New England to have the money to put the program into action.

June, 22, 2017 – John Hoyt, Executive Director of Concord Housing + Redevelopment announced the retirement of Violet Rounds from the organization’s Board of Commissioners. Violet began serving on the board during the planning and construction of CH+R’s present offices on Green Street.
