Concord Housing Development Gets Highest Rating From U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

Concord Housing + Redevelopment is proud to announce that it has received the federal government’s highest rating through the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP). SEMAP enables the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to better manage the Section 8 tenant-based program. It measures performance of public housing agencies and helps HUD identify and target those that may need improvement.

Concord Housing + Redevelopment received a SEMAP score of a perfect 100% for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2014. As a result of this score, Concord Housing + Redevelopment is designated as a “high performer”.

“We were very happy to hear of our SEMAP rating,” says John Hoyt, Executive Director of Concord Housing + Redevelopment. “It certainly is a validation of all of our hard work. Our staff works tirelessly to provide decent, safe and affordable housing to residents of the Greater Concord area. It feels wonderful to be recognized by the federal government in this way.”

Concord Housing + Redevelopment owns and manages 262 public housing units and administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The organization makes home ownership a reality for many through the Home Ownership Program.
