As significant renovations begin at Concord’s Kennedy Building, a New England based company has been awarded a $200,000 contract to update and modernize the building’s front elevator. Pine State Elevator, located in Maine, will be doing the work on the half century old lift.

It’s going to be a bit noisy this summer at the John F. Kennedy building situated on the corner of Main Street and Thompson Street. Concord Housing + Redevelopment is launching several major projects to one of our older buildings. Renovations, energy updates, painting, landscaping and more will be performed throughout the summer to bring our building to a fresher, more energy efficient, and ADA compliant home.
Concord Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for an active summer swim season thanks to Concord Housing + Redevelopment. A generous $10,000 sponsorship from Concord Housing + Redevelopment will allow Concord and Penacook children to take part in FREE swim lessons offered throughout the summer.
Concord Housing + Redevelopment (CH+R) recently received its scores from the federal government’s Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) review. PHAS is an annual evaluation of public housing authorities. CH+R received a score of 95/100, and is considered a “high performer”.
Concord Housing + Redevelopment is proud to announce that it has received the federal government’s highest rating through the Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP). SEMAP enables the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to better manage the Section 8 tenant-based program. It measures performance of public housing agencies and helps HUD identify and target those that may need improvement.
Concord Housing Development Corporation has purchased the property located at 48 South Main Street in Concord. The 3,000 square foot building is located next to the Capital Center for the Arts, on the corner of Concord Street and South Main Street.
Concord Housing + Redevelopment’s vision for its South Main Street property was realized with the recent completion of a series of improvements that will ensure the property and its market-rate housing remains a valuable asset to the Concord community.
