John Hoyt, Executive Director of Concord Housing + Redevelopment (CH+R) is pleased to announce that Tom Buckman has joined the
organization as head of the Special Projects group. Buckman has more than thirty years of experience in residential construction, project development and project management.

“Tom has worked on several of our redevelopment projects over the years,” Hoyt said. “We have a great relationship and we knew that he was the perfect person to help move our organization into the future. His success in the industry speaks for itself, and his knowledge will assist us in continuing to create innovative ways to meet housing needs in the Concord area.”

Buckman will work on creating and fostering partnerships with government, businesses, developers and residents to identify and evaluate opportunities for CH+R. He will also play a key role in assuring that those identified opportunities turn into safe and affordable housing in the Capital City area.

Buckman moved to New Hampshire from Maine in 1984. Since then, he has worked for several construction companies building homes and apartment complexes in the Lakes Region and Concord area. He has acted as foreman on many projects, and estimates that he has built over 300 single family homes during his career. Buckman lives in Concord with his wife Crystal.
