Concord Housing + Redevelopment Helped Almost 700 Kids Take The Plunge

Almost 700 children, 691 to be exact, jumped, splashed and swam in pools across the city this summer, thanks to the sole sponsorship of Concord Housing + Redevelopment, who contributed $15,000 to the Concord Parks and Recreation Department swim program.

Children from Concord and Penacook enjoyed free lessons as a record number of families took advantage of the program offered at Heights, Garrison, Merrill, Rolfe and Rollins Pools. Learning to swim is an integral part of a child’s safety and development. Many children who already knew how to swim became even more confident after two weeks in the program. The swim program continues to be a blessing for local families— providing their children with the important skill of swimming without the financial concern. Concord Housing + Redevelopment is happy to have another opportunity to impact the young lives in our communities.
