Concord Housing + Redevelopment Elects New Commissioner

Finance, Health Care and non-profit experience will complement CH+R strategy
CONCORD, NH – August 23, 2011 – The Board of Commissioners of Concord Housing + Redevelopment, today announced Violet M. Rounds has been elected to a multi-year term as commissioner.

Rounds is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administrative Affairs for the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association. She’s held that post since 1993. Prior to her employment by CRVNA, she was a member of its board of directors. Mrs. Rounds was employed nearly twenty years in retail banking as a Vice President for New Dartmouth Bank and as a Senior Vice President for New Hampshire Savings Bank.
Rounds, a graduate of the University of New Hampshire holds a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from New Hampshire College.

She has an impressive history of involvement with several Concord community organizations. Rounds once chaired the Fellowship Housing Opportunities, Inc., board of directors, where she served 17 years and is a former Treasurer of March of Dimes. Currently, she is a member of the Home Care Association’s Finance Committee, where she once was a trustee and treasurer. She also worked as an Expert Witness for the US Attorney’s Office.

Her perspectives will provide invaluable insight as we continue our efforts to improve the city of Concord.”
