Concord Housing Authority owns and manages 262 Public Housing units within the city of Concord and Penacook. Residents of these units pay 30% of their adjusted annual income toward rent. All utilities, except for cable and telephone, are included in the rent amount. Federal funds, as administered through HUD, subsidize the operation of this program. The John F. Kennedy and Crutchfield Apartments are designated for elderly (over 62 years of age) and/or disabled households. The Boucher Apartments are designated for near-elderly (over 50 years of age) and/or disabled households. Ceriello and Haller Apartments are for all eligible families.
Applicants need to meet eligibility criteria and income limits. Our application can be downloaded or obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to our Main Office. They can also be obtained by coming to our Main Office at 15 Pitman Street. After completing an application, CHA makes an initial determination of eligibility based on income and family size. Date of application determines the order of applicants on our wait list. Eligible applicants will receive notification of their approximate wait time for their name to reach the top of our wait list.
